On May 5, 2024, Mirna and Jason celebrated their love with a beautiful, DIY-inspired wedding at Deity, our charming Brooklyn venue. Filled with personal touches, stunning decor, and unforgettable moments, their special day was truly one to remember. Dive into their enchanting celebration and find out how we helped bring their vision to life.

The Perfect Bridal Suite
Mirna, Jason, and their bridal party started their day in our spacious bridal suite, which comfortably accommodated their four bridesmaids, eight groomsmen, and family members. With morning access, the suite became a hub of laughter and joy as everyone got ready together. The suite’s dual Bluetooth speakers allowed the guys and girls to enjoy their music separately, as our curtains seamlessly divided the suite into two private spaces, with a common area in between. This setup provided a perfect environment for everyone to prepare for the big day, easing Mirna’s nerves and adding to the fun.
“Our families brought food and drinks and we had breakfast together while everyone got ready, it was so much fun having our friends and family there, it is such a huge space it fit all of us very comfortably. I was very nervous but getting ready with my family and friends took all the nerves away, they provide two Bluetooth speakers so they boys listened to their music while the girls listened to our music.”
The suite also allowed the couple to have intimate first looks with friends and family and to share a private vow reading on the balcony before the ceremony. These special moments added a deeply personal touch to their day, leaving them with memories to treasure forever.

DIY Wedding Decorations and Personal Touches
Mirna and Jason’s wedding featured lots of unique and personal touches. They chose rented silk flowers from Silk Stem Collective for the wedding arch, a sustainable and budget-friendly choice, which the groomsmen set up as the bridal party got ready with the glam squad.
For the reception, a neon sign showcasing the couple’s names was elegantly hung on the arch behind the sweetheart table by our staff. This stylish touch fit seamlessly with our all-inclusive decor package, and was set up while guests enjoyed a charming cocktail hour downstairs.
Cocktail hour was made even more memorable with the inclusion of Mirna and Jason’s beloved pets, Miss Peachy the dog and Ube the cat. Guests enjoyed specialty cocktails named after the couple’s pets—Miss Peachy’s Margarita and Ube’s Moscow Mule—while sipping from napkins featuring adorable faces of the furry family members.

Rave-Worthy Food and Drinks
Food is always a focal point at Deity, and this wedding was no exception. The couple’s guests couldn’t stop raving about the delicious fare. Mirna and Jason’s menu included succulent beef short rib with roasted mushrooms, crispy herb chicken, truffle orzo salad, and mashed potatoes.
“The food!! Omg the food!! Everyone has not stopped raving about the food, they said it was the best meal they’ve had.”
Dancing, Celebrations, and Heartfelt Moments
The energy on the dance floor was electric, with DJ Ben Ha Meen keeping everyone moving until the very end by playing all of Mirna and Jason’s favorite songs. The fun reached new heights as the bridal party and groomsmen made their grand entrances, and Mirna and Jason wowed the crowd by walking in with oversized cutouts of their pets’ faces. After the entrance and cake cutting, Mirna changed into her second dress, further amplifying the high-energy celebration late into the night.
The excitement continued with a fantastic Photo Booth by Amazebooth, dance floor complete with glow sticks for bracelets and foam LED light stix to wave in dance, adding to the ultimate party atmosphere. Guests also enjoyed a special touch with a photo guest book, where they used a Polaroid camera to capture and place their snapshots, creating a memorable keepsake for the couple.
“Dj Ben Ha Meen had everyone on the dance floor until the very end, he played all the songs we asked and more. He was a great time.
I was worried about the different floors, and that the older people would have a hard time going up or down but the staff made sure they were good and had a seat at all times.
Days later our friends still tell us how fun and amazing our wedding was and I don’t think it would have been this amazing if we didn’t have it at Deity.”
As a final, personalized touch, guests left the wedding celebration with bottles of homemade Argentinian chimichurri, a delicious and heartfelt favor from Mirna and Jason.
