To Dance or Not to Dance at Your Wedding- Alex and Angela Pave the Way

Same-sex wedding in Brooklyn at Deity Events

Alex and Angela came to Deity Brooklyn looking for an intimate wedding with all the traditional elements. However, they didn’t want to dance so they thought a Micro Wedding package was best for them. As the invite list grew so did their RSVPs and the wedding. Deity Events was able to seamlessly change their package from a Micro Wedding to an a-la carte option that we call Minimum Spend Wedding, seeing that even though they had a larger guest count without jumping to a full size wedding. It’s important to Deity to always be transparent in their pricing and creative in their packages to fit all unique wedding styles.

Angela and Alex had many unique and emotional elements that we hope other couples emulate. First the brides exchanged their original vows privately in the comfort of the Deity Suite. This is a great tip to other couples who want to keep their ceremony short as well because sticking to traditional vows saved some time but also took a lot of pressure off of the couple. Afterward the couple took beautiful sunset photos on the rooftop where we could feel the warmth and love they just expressed to one another.

Deity’s multi floor venue style lends itself well to couples who want a party atmosphere, but don’t necessarily want to a crazy dance party. For Alex and Angela that worked great as they still got to enjoy the traditional elements of a first dance and cake cutting just in the lounge with no pressure to dance all night. Another special element that was incorporated was a personalized message from Angela’s cousin Vinnie who was stationed over seas during her wedding. Guests enjoyed the lounge vibe with cocktails and those who wanted to extend the part joined the brides next door Sunday Bar.

Angela and Alex’s Emotional Wedding Day

Deity Brooklyn was the most perfect venue to host our special day! From the very beginning of planning, they made it so easy for us. They took care of much of the decor, music, lighting, seating, catering and more! Anna was a rockstar, answering all our questions, emails and video chats before the big day. Even making sure everything ran smoothly the day-of. Emily was also so incredibly helpful on our big day and even went out of her way to help pin up my dress for me after the ceremony.

The wedding venue itself has so many picturesque features, we didn’t even need to leave the gorgeous bridal suite to capture most of our amazing photos. Finally, from our hand picked appetizers to the delicious dinner service, all of the food was incredible! Our favorite part was being privately served the appetizers and signature drinks in the suite after our ceremony. The staff at Deity Brooklyn made us feel like celebrities on our most special day, I couldn’t have imagined it being any more perfect!
