All Welcomed at Deity for Katherine and Juan’s Brooklyn Wedding

Getting ready suite, bridal suite brooklyn. Brooklyn wedding venue

We got married a couple months ago at Deity Brooklyn. We truly had an amazing experience. Everything went very smoothly from the beginning, the pricing was very transparent and it was clear that Anna and the staff ran a tight ship–its obvious that they know what they’re doing and that your day will be organized and run on schedule. We went for a tasting which was super fun (and so much food!); the chef changed between tasting and the wedding but the food on the day of was even better! All of our outside vendors were from Deity’s recommended list, it’s a great place to start if you don’t really know anyone ahead of time.

Getting Ready in the Deity Suite with a Rooftop

On the big day, I had I think 12 people with 4 makeup/hair artists getting ready with me, and we all enjoyed the suite and rooftop. My partner and the best man joined us later. It was great and very relaxing to know that we didn’t have to travel anywhere, just head on downstairs when it was time. Our photographer even told me I was the most relaxed bride she’d ever seen! Prior to the ceremony, the Deity staff made announcements in English AND in Spanish (my partner’s family/friends are Spanish speakers) which was really great and felt very inclusive. Everything during the ceremony was seamless, the quick rehearsal made us look like we’d done this before. (We hadn’t!)

Wedding Catering at Deity Events

Cocktail hour was super fun, we opted not to go upstairs for a private moment and some hors d’oeuvres by ourselves because we were having such a good time with our guests but having that option was great. I was moving around too much to actually try all of the passed apps but hey that’s life!! All the food at dinner was great, I was a little hesitant about family style but it looked like plenty of food on the tables and when we walked out, there was still a bit leftover so everyone seemed to have eaten their fill! Vegetarians and kids were well taken care of. Also the space is really beautiful for dinner, it felt intimate, we had about 110 people. Deity easily accommodated my last minute (mid-cocktail hour!) table change which was really really great.

Dancing was a Blast with the Deity DJ

For the dessert/dancing part of the night, we had an absolute ball! Our DJ (CEO) had almost everyone, particularly my dad, dancing the entire time. We have great photos of our guests dancing and drinking. Anna and the staff arranged our desserts (mini Italian pastries and a small cake from Monteleone!) so beautifully. Its also great that the Lounge is open during dancing for people who want a bit of quiet, I took a little break up there at one point.

I had been a little worried about the stairs, we had a couple folks with bad knees but no one over 70, and it was fine. The additional bar tab after the credit was a bit more than we’d expected although we still paid less than the charge for an open bar. The service charge being included was really nice, on all the wedding advice sites people are always agonizing about who and how much to tip and I didn’t have to worry about that at all. I would definitely get married at Deity again!!!
