Obsessed is an understatement. Victoria and Jonathan’s wedding was everything. It was stunning, sexy, and unique. We are so happy this cool couple chose Deity for their ceremony and reception. We teared up when they did with their vows and felt the absolute heat in the room while they took their portraits. The venue was vibrating with dance and laughter by the end of the night. It’s safe to say this was one of our favorite weddings and we are incredibly lucky the ultra talented Carolina Rivera Photography captured all of it’s essences.
Planning a Deity Wedding
We got married here on April 1st, 2023 with about 150 people. The staff are incredible, excellent at their jobs, so helpful, and go above and beyond. Anna was an exceptional coordinator and I feel very lucky we got to work with her on planning our day. Almost everything went according to plan, and it was a low stress day for myself and my husband. Anna alone is a major reason to book this space.
The food was delicious and the food and drink service was top notch and since our wedding they have updated it to be even better. We also really loved that so many things were included with the venue fee, which is not the case with every other venue we considered. I also really loved the layout of the space. Having different phases of the wedding in different rooms made the night go by so quickly as it changed the energy of the night.
Brooklyn Wedding Tips
If you are considering renting this space for your wedding, I would highly recommend it. Some things to know ahead of time are:
1. Definitely book the bridal suite if you can afford it. That place is immaculate and with so much character for photo shoots and hanging with your bridal party and family.
2. Make sure to budget for drinks at the bar. Even though a $40 spend is included in the per person fee, with 150 people, we ended up adding another $5,000 with the bar tab. That said, the drinks are also very, very good. It was definitely worth it, but just plan ahead.
3. The sound system is fantastic, even for people who really love sound like we do.
The staff here has so much heart and care for what they do, and they really made our wedding. This place is an absolute gem that is not often found anymore in NYC. I’m sincerely grateful to Deity for making this day so special for my husband and me, and all of our guests and family.
