It’s Pride Month! Cue the rainbow confetti. At the end of this month, June 26th, it will be seven years since the Supreme Court announced its decision in Obergefell v. Hodges. The landmark civil rights case that marks the beginning of legal same-sex marriages for the nation. Thankfully in NYC, same-sex weddings have been legal since 2011. We believe that wasn’t soon enough. Deity has been hosting same-sex weddings prior to even NYC making it “legal.” LOVE IS LOVE! We will shout it from our rooftop!
However, the past seven years have been really meaningful to us. To know everyone has the ability to marry who they love makes doing what we do a bit sweeter. Over the years we are very lucky to have welcomed dozens if not hundreds of same-sex couples with their families and friends through these gates to exchange their vows here at our Brooklyn Wedding Venue.
