2021 Wedding: Good Things Come to Those Who Wait

Good things come to those who wait…Let’s just take a minute and talk about what it means to be able to get married, with family and friends in 2021. In these uncertain times, dreams can still come true. After much waiting and worry, Matt and Cassie were finally married at Deity NYC Wedding Venue summer 2021. The sheer joy is evident from the photos by Tati Poly Photography of their big day. We sat down to ask this over-the-moon Bride and Groom to hear their thoughts on the beyond special occasion. Here is what they had to say:

Describe your wedding day It was simply incredible.  From start to finish, our wedding day was everything we could have possibly asked for and more.

Was there something that surprised you on your wedding day? Leading up to our wedding, we had discussed everything at length, from logistics, to service, to food, to atmosphere.  There wound up being nothing that could have prepared us for how amazing everything at Deity actually was that night.

If you had to pick one memory from this day, what would it be? By far, our best memory was the dancing.  The dance floor at Deity is so unique and emanates beauty and good energy.  DJ BenHa Meen performed a memorable set that people still talk about to this day as one of the best DJ’s they’ve ever heard at a wedding.  Hard earned sweat, smiles, and love, under the iconic “Brooklyn Love” sign, is something we will remember for the rest of our lives.

A close second would have to be the ceremony.  A starry evening in Brooklyn, under the city lights at Deity, just how we imagined.  The one-of-a-kind Deity octagon, decorated flawlessly.  Rabbi Darren Levine led a genuine, funny, love-filled ceremony that we will remember for the rest of our lives.  Love definitely led the way at our ceremony.

Whose help did you enlist the most? By far, our greatest and most welcomed partner throughout this entire process was Caio.  Caio provided an invaluable service and friendship that we value greatly.  Having to push our wedding back due to the pandemic was not easy, and Caio was there every step of the way with his impeccable planning and emotional support.  We chose to tackle this event ourselves, with minimal help from family and friends, so having Caio in our corner was nothing short of a blessing.

How did you find and decide on Deity as your Wedding Venue? We came across Deity on The Knot.  Within the first minute of touring the space, we knew we would be getting married there.  Meeting Caio was the icing on the cake.

Thanks to all of the Vendors!
