This radiant summer Wedding at Deity Brooklyn was all about the details. With luscious photos by Megan & Kenneth Photography, the joy of this special day was captured. After 2 years of planning and pushbacks, this stunning couple was able to share their special day with family and friends. The meaning of the celebration was not lost on anyone, and it’s obvious with the images captured. We sat down to speak with this couple, and this is what they had to say:
Describe your wedding day A whirlwind. The day started at 10:30 am, in the Deity bridal suite and we immediately hit the ground running. There were a few moments we thought we were behind schedule but our photographers and coordinator really made sure everything went as planned. There were a few small mishaps but it truly was an amazing day and night. We were so grateful to finally be able to celebrate with our friends and families.

Was there something that surprised you on your wedding day? How smoothly it all went! We spent almost 2 years planning for this day and it felt like there were still so many unknowns just 2 months prior. Caio and Anna really went above and beyond to make sure that everything and everyone was taken care of.
Whose help did you enlist the most? Probably my maid of honor, Amber. She was there to help me plan every detail leading up to the wedding and was just overall so supportive throughout the night. She spoke with our vendors and helped our coordinator keep everyone on schedule!

What was your crowd like? Our friends and families love a good party and that was a huge part of planning our wedding day. From cocktail-hour all the way through dessert, everyone loved the food and left absolutely nothing behind. Our DJ, Ben, was also fantastic. He not only played all the songs we requested but really listened to the crowd and kept everyone going all night.
Was there a particular detail that a vendor did for you that was special? Our photographers, Megan & Kenneth, were absolute angels. We’re not a huge fan of being in front of the camera but documenting this chapter in our lives was extremely important to us and they made us feel so comfortable. From the getting ready photos to our reception, they both captured the most amazing memories and made us really feel amazing.

If you had to pick one favorite memory from that day what would that be? Our first dance, we were SO nervous and almost didn’t do it at the very last minute but hearing our friends and family cheer us on made it so special. We practically laughed through the entire thing and suddenly it wasn’t stressful at all.

How did you find and decide on Deity as your Wedding Venue? We knew we wanted a NYC venue from the start. The most important things to us were great food, drinks, and creating an overall vibe for our guests that felt modern yet simultaneously “classic Brooklyn.” The variety of spaces at Deity were a huge draw to us because each floor felt like it was a completely different venue, later creating a constant element of surprise for our guests. Deity being an all-inclusive venue was also a huge pull in deciding for us. We love to plan events for our friends and families but so many things go into a wedding that having someone else take care of big-ticket items was extremely helpful. It allowed us more time to focus on smaller details like additional decor and choosing our menu for the night. And to be completely transparent, for the size and level of coordination involved, Deity is extremely affordable. Our wedding day was an absolute dream and we wouldn’t have wanted to have it anywhere else.
