It was all about the Brooklyn Love on this couple’s big day! Solei & Steve were joyfully married at Deity Events in Brooklyn. Capturing the excitement of these two was Le Image Photography. Between the multi-cultural ceremonies, the killer shoes and the personalized Jenga game, this Wedding packed in the fun and meaning. We checked in with them and here is what the couple had to say about their Wedding Day!
Describe your wedding day. Our wedding day was truly one of the best days of our lives. What more could a couple ask for than to see what months of planning turned into. The day spent celebrating our love with our closest friends and family, was more than magical.
Was there something that surprised you on your wedding day? We had so much pre-wedding jitters it was hard to imagine everything working out so smoothly as it did. The atmosphere was very welcoming. We were happy to see all our guests mingling as if they’ve known each other for years. If you had to pick one favorite memory from that day what would that be? The moment when we were facing eachother and shared our vows. The days felt like a fairytale but at that moment, the feeling was real, overwhelming yet most comforting. While we shared our commitments and promises for our future, it felt as if we were the only ones there.
Another favorite was blending our cultures. We incorporated haitian music on the dancefloor. We also added the traditional Cambodian knot tying ceremony. It involves inviting family members to tie red strings around our wrists as a symbol of the blessings. We were overjoyed with wholesome wishes from our loved ones.
What was your crowd like? Dancing crowd? Foodies? We definitely had a mixed crowd ranging from the ages of 12 to 80 all who love to socialize and dance. The Mac n Cheese was definitely one of the crowd favorites. Good food and company were the key ingredients to this memorable night.
Thanks to all of the Vendors that helped make this day special!
