Brooklyn Love

How can you not fall in love with this Brooklyn couple? Diane & Kelcie wore their hearts on their sleeves for their winter Wedding, captured by Jemima Richards  Photography. Their big day started as they got ready at the surprisingly chic “Brooklyn Suite” at Hampton Inn Downtown Brooklyn. This was followed by an epic first look on the balcony of the suite. This lovely pair snagged some amazing shots with the lights of New York City as their backdrop. They then moved on to a photoshoot with their stylish bridal party. We are so into their winter looks of the burgundy dresses, complimented by the fur wraps. It’s major #squadgoals with this bunch!

This awesome crew moved to the Wedding Venue Deity in Downtown Brooklyn. It was all sparkles and smiles for this ceremony and reception. The ladies opted on no flowers, keeping with the uniqueness of the venue and highlighting the candlelight decor. With a heartfelt ceremony in the Loft space, followed by a beautiful dinner for the guests. The party then continued  down to the Cellar floor for an over the top, disco dance party. Where they also cut into a Betty Bakery Wedding Cake, locally made with a rainbow inside. And feasted on bride-provided, whimsical ladybird cupcakes. They danced the night away under a “Brooklyn Love” sign and old school disco ball.

No one can do a better job of describing the big day than Bride Kelcie!

“We had our wedding at Deity on January 18, and cannot stop raving about our experience. Believe the hype – it’s all true! Melissa worked hard as our coordinator, and she and her team made the entire evening flow seamlessly. They worked with us on some “non-traditional” touches – including separate entrances before our first dance. DJ BenHaMeen was so laid back in our conference call that we feared he wouldn’t be able to “get” our vision for the music – but he truly went above and beyond to create the perfect party for our family and friends. He is cool and kindhearted, and he hit us with a remix of “Shallow” that I can’t get out of my head. I would agree with previous reviews that if you want to have control of every element of your wedding regarding decor and menu, this may not be the space for you — however, I was so grateful to be able to relax and let someone else handle those tiny details that ultimately didn’t matter as much as having a great time with my wife and our loved ones. Would 100% recommend!”
