This stylish, high energy Brooklyn Wedding was planned entirely by this creative couple themselves and the photos were provided by Ein Photography. Both active in the arts, the groom in theater and literature, the bride in fashion and design, kept all of the vendors they used local. The wanted to make sure their guests had a true Brooklyn experience from the space, the food and, of course the music.
The Bride and her party got ready for the Wedding in a a gorgeous Brooklyn loft bridal suite. The designer of her dress was boutique gown designer Carol Hannah. This custom piece was inspired by nature and was actually in the form of bustier and skirt joined by asymmetrical petals to create more of a flow down the look. The designer herself was very hands-on and the bride says “I would recommend her to any bride who wishes to be off the beaten path.”
The ceremony took place at Deity Wedding Venue on the Loft level. This space reflected the romance of their engagement. The groom had planned it around the Supermoon last summer and the bride says “It was the most thoughtful thing anyone has done for me not to mention the most romantic and happiest moment of my life.” The flowers were provided by Edelweiss Floral Atelier. The couple found vintage decanters on ebay and easy and then gave them to the florist to build the unique centerpieces.
This couple with self-proclaimed BIG personalities passionate for the arts as well as each other shone through the whole ceremony. From the cake cutting in Deity’s cellar, concocted by Butterfly Bakeshop, to their well-executed first dance, and all the way down to the garter dance. The guests were highly entertained when the bouquet catcher (a family friend) was wooed by a close friend of the groom, who is quite the personality. The Bride says of the evening: “All in all the night could not have gone better, we are so happy we had our wedding at Deity! Many of our guests were blown away with your venue stating they have never seen anything like it and asked if you do other events. We highly recommend Deity!”
