“I was SO excited to photograph Brittany and Kelly’s wedding. I’ve known Kelly for years, as she is mutual friends with a friend of mine from college. I photographed her engagement photos with Brittany back in 2013 and knew they were the perfect match for each other. When they asked me to photograph their wedding at Deity, I was PUMPED. Yarrr!!!
Brittany and Kelly got ready at the nearby Nu Hotel, and then we did a Brooklyn-esque wedding first look on the street. Their wedding theme was Brooklyn – like, *super* Brooklyn. Check out the Metrocard place seating chart, the Brooklyn subway train centerpieces, the Brooklyn Nets shoes, cufflinks, and wedding cake. Their invitations even featured the Brooklyn Bridge. And, to top off the Brooklyn theme? Brittany + Kelly = BK. It was simply meant to be!
Deity is a former synagogue that has been converted into a multi-floor event space. Each floor has a different vibe, and it was the perfect space for their Brooklyn wedding. Getting married in New York City is a unique experience no matter how you do it. For those people looking for a ceremony and reception space, creativity is a must as there are very few “traditional” wedding venues within the city limits. It’s all about finding a unique space and making it work as a wedding venue. Deity fit the bill for Brittany and Kelly perfectly!”
