Amber and Marcus’s Romantic Brooklyn Wedding
from the Bride: “My Maid of Honor’s fiance’ (Kevin Stahl!) is a talented artist- way more talented than the photos give him credit for- and he did us the favor of creating the frames with song lyrics, and book that holds our rings. The book was Jazz by Toni Morrison. She’s a favorite author of mine, and music is a large part of our 10 year relationship, so it seemed like the perfect merging! Actually, the very first piece of planning we did was our playlist 🙂
What really made our wedding special, as cliche as it sounds, was having everyone we love in one room. We only had people there who are a large part of our lives (not like, my dad’s lawyer or my mom’s third cousin…).
Our good friend of over 8 years and my husband’s coworker, David Flink officiated our wedding, and one of my closest friends since first grade did a reading for us (How Falling in Love is like Owning a Dog, by Taylor Mali) We’ve had multiple people say to us since that the love in the room was “palpable and tangible”, which means the world to us.
Everyone had a phenomenal time- they gushed over the appetizers, enjoyed the change of scenery when moving from floor to floor, and rocked the dance floor until the last song played (Sinatra- New York New York) at 12:30am.”
