Ring in the New Year and a new Life!
This Wedding couple’s glam ode to New York City is a designer’s dream. The art deco, speakeasy vibe of Deity Events Brooklyn Venue was perfect for a Big Apple New Year’s Eve party Wedding! This is what the Bride had to say about the big day:
What we wanted our day to be unique-to-us and and an “only in NY” feel. I worked hard to create my own decor and asked friends and family to help in adding more personal touches so that the night really felt like it was tailored to us. We spent months planning and envisioning the day and it turned out to be the most wonderful day, because everything was enhanced by the love we felt from our family and friends.

My mom surprised us on the wedding day. She told us to take a look at the DJ booth. When we went over and hanging on the front of the DJ booth was a special quilted wall hanging that she made for us that said “Stephanie and Mike Forever” and had all NY themed fabrics to go with the theme of our wedding. It was beautiful and something we will never forget.

One of my favorite memories of the day was being introduced by DJ Jamal into the Loft to have dinner. Everyone was clapping and cheering and because the room is so cozy and intimate we were just overwhelmed with love and emotion. I started tearing up because it was so palpable that everyone was so happy for us. It was a once in a lifetime feeling.

Another favorite moment was during the cocktail hour. We went to the loft and Yulia (a Deity Wedding Coordinator) arranged a private candlelit atmosphere for us to enjoy all the appetizers. It was so nice to have some alone time with each other and to try all the food together. It was also very special to see the whole loft set up before our guests entered the room.

One of the things that I definitely wanted done right was the personal touches. I am a designer so I took time to create custom centerpieces, videos, and made and designed most of the signage. I put together a 5 page instruction booklet to make sure it was put how and where I wanted! Yulia (with the help of two friends) was amazing and followed everything wonderfully and even better than I imagined. One of the themes was “vintage NY” and I felt like the decor really was enhanced by the speakeasy vibe of Deity.

“There are not enough words to express how perfect our wedding day was and so much of that is thanks to Deity and their amazing staff. Caio, Yulia and James were all wonderful and very professional and made planning our wedding so easy. Everything was perfectly planned out and from beginning to end, they were with us every step of the way. The price is very reasonable, especially compared to other Brooklyn venues and definitely worth every penny. The venue itself is spectacular and in our opinion needed little or no extra decorations which not only saved money but much stress too. The food was so delicious, so many of our guests still comment on how good it was. DJ Jamal was amazing and kept us dancing all night. We really can’t thank everyone enough for making our reception even better than what we could have imagined. You definitely won’t be disappointed with this place. There is not one thing we would change!! Many thanks again to everyone at Deity!”
